Or are we the thorny ground, where worry, the pull of wealth, and misplaced desires slowly strangle the life out of what God has planted in us? The message does not leave us without hope. It calls us toward the fertile soil, the heart that is hungry, teachable, and willing to let the Word take deep root. The parallel to the manna God provided Israel in the wilderness is striking. Just as that provision had to be gathered fresh each morning or it would spoil, so the Word of God requires our daily, intentional attention. This is not a message about guilt.
